CoolPlanet, based in Ireland, has posted a lovely video of a battery energy storage system (BESS) getting craned into place at a manufacturing location in Ireland.

The 2.5 MW / 2.5 MWh battery system was detailed by CoolPlanet as having the following system specs:

• 2.5 MWh battery system
• Dedicated containerised HV switchgear
• 2.5 MW PCS inverters (made by EPC Power)
• 2.5 MW transformer

Take a look at it all being lifted in by a large yellow crane, with the video available both on Instagram or LinkedIn. It shows the necessary engineering planning and operations needed to get a big battery into place.

CoolPlanet said this was part of a wider energy setup on site, including solar, heat pumps, and more, orchestrated by its own CoolPlanet Flex software.
