Jinko ESS Secures Grid-Scale Energy Storage Projects in Italy, Advancing Renewable Integration
The projects will deploy Jinko ESS’s G2 5MWh liquid-cooled containerized systems in October 2025 and in March 2026 respectively, providing frequency regulation and renewable energy integration services for Italy’s national grid to accelerate EU’s goal of “40% renewable energy by 2030”.
Engineered for Italy’s diverse climate – featuring 40°C temperatures in the south and -5°C conditions in the north – the Jinko ESS G2 system utilizes intelligent liquid cooling technology to maintain cell temperature differentials within ±2.5°C across all climates. Its multi-layer protection ensures maximum safety during extreme weather events, while 94% round-trip efficiency coupled with 15% reduction in auxiliary power consumption maximizes investment returns.
Roberto Murgioni, General Manager of Europe Region at Jinko ESS, emphasized: “Securing this project in Italy validates our ‘Southern Europe Localization Strategy’. This breakthrough in Italy solidifies our regional footprint. Jinko ESS remains committed to enabling Italy’s clean energy transition.”
