Singapore-based data center operator DayOne has signed bilateral energy supply contracts with TNB Renewables Sdn. Bhd. and TNB Power Generation Sdn. Bhd. covering approximately 1.5 GWp of solar capacity and 2.2 GWh of battery energy storage in Malaysia.

The agreements, formalized under Malaysia’s Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS), include ground-mounted solar and hybrid hydro floating solar, and cover the transfer of associated renewable energy certificates. The signing was witnessed by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and senior government officials.

The contracts extend DayOne’s CRESS partnership with TNB, which began with a June 2025 agreement covering 500 MW of renewable energy over a 21-year term, bringing total secured renewable energy in Malaysia to more than 1 GW.

DayOne said the partnership supports its target of 100% renewable energy across its platform by 2030 and a 42% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions from its 2025 baseline. The company operates two hyperscale campuses in Malaysia and has made a cumulative commitment of MYR 28 billion ($6.9 billion) by the end of 2026, which it describes as its largest global operational footprint.
