Brazil’s Solfácil launches financing line for commercial and industrial BESS projects
Solfácil has launched a new credit line dedicated to BESS projects serving commercial, industrial and agricultural customers.
The financing is aimed at project developers, including integrators, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms, and distributors that structure and sell storage systems but require credit support to complete transactions.
Solfácil said applications can be approved in as little as one day, with the company providing support across financial, technical and commercial aspects of project development.
The financing targets behind-the-meter applications such as peak demand reduction, where batteries are charged during lower-cost electricity periods and discharged during peak tariff hours to reduce bills. It also covers demand charge management and backup power supply during grid outages.
The company said the initiative addresses limited access to credit for distributed storage projects in Brazil, where demand for battery energy storage components rose 89% in 2024, according to market research firm Greener.
Solfácil is also preparing to launch an Energy as a Service (EaaS) model, which would allow integrators and EPC firms to lease storage systems to end users and generate recurring revenue rather than relying solely on upfront equipment sales.
The company said both initiatives aim to support growing demand for energy independence among business users while expanding financing options for distributed energy projects in Brazil.
