Dunext releases 261 kWh C&I storage system

Dunext has launched a 261 kWh PowerHill C&I energy storage system with lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, liquid cooling, 125 kW power output, IP55 protection, and scalable deployment of up to 10 units in parallel.

China-based Dunext has unveiled a 261 kWh commercial and industrial (C&I) storage system, expanding its PowerHill product portfolio. The PowerHill 261 kWh sits above the existing PowerHill 215 kWh and 233 kWh models, further extending the company’s offering for distributed energy storage applications in C&l settings.

According to the company, the new system is designed to simplify deployment and operation across the full lifecycle, from installation and commissioning to daily operation and maintenance.

“This product is designed to reduce complexity from installation and commissioning to daily operations and maintenance,” Dunext said in a statement.

The system will be officially presented at Intersolar Europe 2026, held from June 23 to 25 at Messe München in Munich, Germany.

Technically, the PowerHill 261 kWh system is based on lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) cells and features a liquid-cooling architecture intended to improve thermal stability and extend battery lifespan under high cycling conditions. Dunext claims the system is equipped with LiFePO4-3 battery cells rated for an 8,000-cycle lifetime. The system offers a charging and discharging power of 125 kW, while its rated output in backup operation is specified at 123 kW.

The manufacturer also highlights scalability as a key feature. Up to 10 units can be connected in parallel, enabling higher aggregate capacity for larger commercial installations.

Each unit measures 1,025 mm × 2,365 mm × 1,350 mm and weighs approximately 2,800 kg. The enclosure is rated IP55, providing protection against dust ingress and water jets, making it suitable for both indoor and sheltered outdoor deployment.

For safety, the system integrates a fire suppression package that includes smoke and temperature sensors, as well as inlet, exhaust, and aerosol detection. Operating temperatures range from -25 C to 55 C, supporting deployment in a wide range of climates, including colder northern European conditions, the company said.

With the PowerHill 261 kWh, Dunext continues to scale its C&I storage lineup in line with growing demand for modular, medium-scale energy storage systems that support grid balancing, peak shaving, and onsite renewable integration.
