Entrix to optimize 144 MWh solar-plus-storage project in Germany

Entrix will manage market participation for a 36 MW/144 MWh battery paired with solar generation and EV charging infrastructure in northeastern Germany, with the project scheduled to enter service this year.

Entrix has agreed to provide AI-supported trading and optimization services for The Dillinger Group’s Schloen project in the German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

The co-located project combines a 36 MW/144 MWh battery energy storage system with a PV power plant and EV charging infrastructure. The companies said the facility is expected to begin operations later this year.

According to Entrix and The Dillinger Group, the battery will be charged exclusively using electricity generated by the adjacent PV installation, making it a dedicated renewable energy storage asset. The four-hour system is designed to store surplus solar generation and discharge it to the grid when needed.

Located within the service territory of German distribution system operator E.DIS, the project is among the country’s largest co-located renewable storage developments, according to the companies.

Entrix said it will optimize the asset across relevant energy markets, including day-ahead and intraday trading. The company said its AI-based platform continuously analyzes real-time market data, technical parameters, and the battery’s state of charge to maximize commercial returns while supporting grid stability.
