India’s Pace Digitek manufactures more than 1.25 GWh of BESS capacity in first year

Bengaluru-based Pace Digitek said its subsidiary, Lineage Power (LPPL), has completed one year of commercial BESS production at its facility in Bidadi, in the Indian state of Karnataka.

Pace Digitek said LPPL manufactured more than 260 utility-scale BESS containers throughout the year, representing more than 1.25 GWh of integrated storage capacity. It said this marks one of the largest utility-scale cell-to-BESS manufacturing achievements by an Indian company in a single year.

The company’s BESS unit integrates engineering, battery system assembly, container fabrication, power conversion systems (PCS), energy management systems (EMS), and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) capabilities under a single operating model.

“The experience gained from supporting multiple utility-scale BESS deployments has further strengthened the company’s end-to-end capabilities across engineering, manufacturing, commissioning and lifecycle services, creating a strong foundation for future growth,” Pace Digitek said in a statement.

Pace Digitek Chairman and Managing Director Venugopal Rao Maddisetty said the company’s first year of BESS manufacturing and production of more than 260 utility-scale containers marked a significant milestone, adding that the company has focused on building an integrated manufacturing platform to support India’s expanding energy storage market.
