IFA 2026, one of the world’s leading technology trade fairs, happens next week in Berlin with more than 1,900 brands across tech, appliances, and energy set to showcase what’s new and innovative. One of those brand on show will be the well-known Chinese drone maker DJI, which has branched across many product categories, including energy via its DJI Power products.

The DJI Power ecosystem began with portable power, including its Power 2000 model, and now, in a press release, DJI has confirmed it will announce a new balcony solar system at IFA 2026.

A media launch event is scheduled for September 3rd at IFA, where DJI will launch and showcase new products.

DJI said in its release, “Visitors will also be able to get up close and personal with DJI Power range products, including the Power 1000 Mini, Power 1000 V2, Power 2000, and Power Expansion Battery 2000, as well as DJI’s new balcony solar system.

The company included one rendered image as shown above, showing an inverter connected to solar PV panels, with a portable power station connected within the home to a power outlet to manage energy storage through the home circuit board.

ESS News understands DJI will launch the system as part of a Power 2000 bundle in Germany as it begins a rollout. Pricing, new features, and availability will be hotly anticipated, and few further public details are known.

Plug-in solar is now legal in the UK following regulation change on August 27. Britain hasn’t yet permitted plug-in storage to be installed alongside it without an electrician, however.
