After studying Electrical Engineering and working in the field in control systems, Tristan turned his attention to editorial roles. Prior to joining pv magazine in 2020, and ESS News in 2024 in Berlin, he was Managing Editor and Founding Editor of tech and other publications in Australia.

With years of experience in news, tech, and energy, he has also contributed to a host of publications and podcasts. He also works on YouTube channel The Friday Checkout, among other roles.
