Korkia expands into offering ‘powered land’ for data centers in Chile
The Finnish company plans to combine access to land and grid connection capacity with new renewable generation, battery storage, and grid infrastructure. Korkia claims it is already moving forward with these types of projects in Chile, although it has not provided details on their locations, capacity, or investment.
Engie and Return extend flexibility agreement for storage in Germany to 400 MW
The contracts are not concluded for individual battery storage sites, but rather for various facilities that are bundled in a Virtual Flexibility Portfolio. Engie and Return concluded the first agreement of this kind in February.

The investment in the Mimosa project, located near Baza, a town in the province of Granada in Andalusia, southern Spain, exceeds one billion euros. The consortium has invested five years in the project development, and its completion is slated for 2027.
Australian government backs more than 420 community batteries
The Australian government has beefed up its commitment to community batteries to support the integration of renewable energy in the grid with more than 420 battery energy storage systems to be installed in neighbourhoods across the country as part of its Community Batteries for Household Solar program.
