World’s largest sand battery inaugurated Loviisan Lämpö’s Sand Battery was officially inaugurated by Minister of the Environment and Climate, Sari Multala. The Sand Battery reduces the carbon emissions of the Pornainen district heating network by around 70%. The solution has also the potential to cut emissions and costs in different industrial applications.
