Polish utility plans to add 10 GWh of energy storage projects by 2035
Polish utility PGE Group is planning to add more than 80 energy storage facilities through to 2035 to the tune of PLN 18 billion ($4.7 billion). One of these will be the 981 MWh Zarnowiec battery energy storage project, which will be supplied with locally produced LG Energy Solution's grid-scale systems.
China announces procurement of sodium-ion batteries with price ceiling at $150/kWh
The innovative project located in a suburban district in the south of Shanghai will integrate five different energy storage technologies, including sodium-ion batteries. Its first phase will have a cumulative capacity of 40 MW/160 MWh.
