EcoFlow has launched a new home energy management system to help householders manage their energy usage. The EcoFlow Gateway (Single-Phase) EF-SG-001 functions as a ‘central hub’ capable of integrating several power sources and scaling with the householder’s energy demands.

It provides full backup for most European households, with up to 100 A mains support to power high-demand systems such as electric vehicle charging.

It has a 12 V/1A DC power output and a nominal AC power output of up to 24 kW.

An uninterrupted 0ms switchover occurs at the load side in the event of a power outage so no disruption to appliances or Wi-Fi occurs.

According to the company the service helps homeowners take control of their energy needs in a way that supports on-grid, off-grid and hybrid energy consumption patterns. It features a built-in smart meter which can monitor real-time energy usage and generation from each device.

The Gateway system can integrate with smart-home systems, energy management platforms and is compatible with third-party solar inverters and diesel generators. It uses a natural convection cooling system with an internal fan and it can operate at maximum low temperatures of -30 degrees and maximum high temperatures of up to 60 degrees Celsius.

The system hardware weighs 15 kg and measures 465 x 380 x 160 mm and is wall mounted. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, according to EcoFlow. The company launched the system at the 2025 Solar & Storage UK trade show in Birmingham in September.

“EcoFlow Gateway is the missing link between solar, storage, and smart-home technology,” said Craig Bilboe, EcoFlow’s Country Manager for UK and Ireland. “It delivers true whole-home backup, scales with household demand, and integrates with both renewable and traditional power sources – helping homeowners achieve genuine energy independence.”

In January of this year, EcoFlow launched another residential energy management product, Oasis, which uses AI to help homeowners optimize their energy consumption and storage.
