EcoFlow expands Home Energy Management System to European market

EcoFlow announced the European launch of its Home Energy Management System (HEMS) at the Intersolar Europe 2025 exhibition in Munich this week. The company claims the system can reduce energy bills by up to 77.6 percent through forecasting and dynamic tariff integration, with AI-based automated operation modes.
This European release follows the January introduction of a similar system called “Oasis” for the US market at CES 2025, representing EcoFlow’s continued home energy management sector expansion. The system
System capabilities
The HEMS integrates with dynamic electricity tariffs from platforms including EPEX SPOT, NORDPOOL, rabot.energy, Tibber, and Octopus. EcoFlow states the system forecasts energy consumption and solar generation with “up to 90% accuracy,” and quietly told ESS News that this easily bested rivals who were stuck at lower percentage accuracy levels.
That said, both percentage claims come with notable qualifications. The 77.6 percent savings figure is based on simulated scenarios with specific system specifications, while the forecast accuracy represents average performance across all users, with actual results varying based on multiple factors including “environmental changes” and “unpredictable usage.”
The system offers three operational modes: an AI-controlled “SmartEarning Mode” for cost optimization, an AI-controlled “PureGreen Mode” for maximizing solar usage, and a customized mode with AI recommendations based on user preferences.
The system is app-based and will be controlled via both iPhone and Android. EcoFlow states the HEMS with AI functionality will be available across Europe starting in Q3 2025, though availability may vary by country depending on certification and distribution channels. In addition, functionality will roll out in a stepped fashion.
Additional product launches
EcoFlow also announced the PowerPulse 2 EV charger, which connects to the HEMS ecosystem. The single-phase version is currently available, with a three-phase version expected by June 2025. The charger includes features for finding economical charging times and managing multiple charging units.
Kevin Benedict, technical sales at Ecoflow, told ESS News the EV charger came without a built-in cable, as many wished to use their own cable lengths for maximum compatibility.
The company’s STREAM Series Plug & Play Solar Plant, launched in April, can now integrate with EcoFlow’s PowerOcean Series, allowing users to expand their home energy systems incrementally.
