Chinese battery solutions maker Bluetti has announced its next-generation of whole-home battery backup solutions, launching the EnergyPro 13K Energy Storage System, or EP13K.

Having launched the EnergyPro 6K back in 2025, and largely replacing the existing EP900 Energy Storage System, the new EP13K product and launch remains aimed at residential and small business users, but with boosts to output power and storage options, and a new design.

The new EP13K goes modular to scale storage as it’s needed and funds allow, while remaining a fixed-in-place design.

The EP13K ESS integrates the EP13K hybrid inverter, the AT1 distribution panel, and the modular EnergyPack 500 batteries, starting with a dual-pack configuration (9.6kWh) for home backup. This offers 13.2 kW of power output (120V/240V) and 9.6 kWh of storage. The EP13K inverter weighs 106 lbs (48kg) and is IP65/NEMA 4X rated.

Adding another EnergyPack 500 will add 4.8 kWh of storage, with a maximum of four units for 19.2 kWh of total storage. It has a surge capacity of 150 LRA.

It can integrate with users’ existing rooftop solar systems to store solar power, with a maximum PV input of 22 kW and four MPPT channels. It can also be added to complete a new installation to provide backup energy when needed, supporting both DC- and AC-coupled configurations.

Bluetti also offers a smart distribution panel, which it calls the AT1, to pair with the EP13K, to connect to grid power, EV chargers, generators, and solar panels,  and supports bidirectional EV charging and integration with standby generators. The integrated automatic transfer switch (ATS) and 200 A bypass enable uninterrupted switching between grid and stored power.

In terms of smarts, via the Bluetti app, monitoring of real-time data can occur, along with configuring operating modes such as charging during off-peak hours and discharging during peak pricing periods. It also ties in with smart home platforms.

Like FridgePower, it also introduces a proactive extreme-weather alert function that uses weather data to automatically prepare the battery ahead of potential outages.

Pricing and availability

Bluetti’s EnergyPro 13K Energy Storage System is available now via Bluetti’s official store, with a special promotional price starting at $7,919 (a 10% discount) through April 24, and there’s a promotional code BLUETTI8OFF to receive an additional 8% discount to bring that price to $7,285.48. The AT1 Smart Distribution Panel was also included as a “gift” during the promotion, along with a free EMS device for remote connection, and a free base bracket.
