Atmoce launches stackable AC battery for C&I storage
Faced with a commercial and industrial (C&I) storage market dominated by complex high-voltage DC architectures, European manufacturer Atmoce is taking a different approach with its stackable AC battery.
“The BattBank allows each operator to size their installation according to their actual needs, budget constraints, and the evolution of their business,” the company said in a press release. “Where most existing solutions require an oversized or unsuitable initial investment, it enables a gradual increase in capacity without requiring a complete overhaul of the existing system.”
Each module delivers 16.08 kWh with a maximum discharge power of 10 kVA. Installations can be expanded with up to seven modules per block, for a total capacity of 112 kWh.
By opting for extra-low-voltage operation – below 60 Vdc – Atmoce eliminates the risk of DC arcing at the source, a major contributing factor to incidents in C&I installations.
“This approach, inherently safer for operators, maintenance technicians, and the installations themselves, does not rely on protective devices added after the fact; it is integrated from the design stage, at the core of the product architecture,” the company explained.
The BattBank will be available from July 2026 and can already be pre-ordered through Atmoce’s partners.
