Palisade inks deal to buy 100% tolled Australian big battery project
One of the biggest batteries under construction in South Australia is set to change hands with Australian asset manager Palisade Investment Partners striking a deal to buy the 240 MW / 960 MWh Summerfield project from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.

Blackstone and Sunotec enter €250 million partnership across energy storage, grid upgrades
Investment firm Blackstone has announced plans for a partnership with solar and storage project developer Sunotec, via a €250 million ($292.4 million) structured equity investment. The investment will support Sunotec’s project plans in Europe, as well as the company’s expansion into new areas including building grid infrastructure.

Battery cell prices continue to plummet as lithium prices hit new low

Zinc batteries: Redflow teams with Stanwell on 400 MWh project, e-Zinc secures $31m commercialization funding
Australian zinc bromide flow battery specialist Redflow has struck a partnership with Queensland state-owned generation company Stanwell to work together on the development of a non-lithium long-duration battery energy storage solution for use in a 400 MWh project. Meanwhile, Toronto long duration energy storage specialist e-Zinc has secured $31 million which will go towards developement and completion of its pilot manufacturing facility in Mississauga, Ontario.
US DOE to allocate $100 million for non-lithium, long-duration energy storage pilots
The US Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) has issued a Notice of Intent (NOI) to fund pilot-scale energy storage demonstration projects, focusing on non-lithium technologies, 10+ hour discharge systems, and stationary storage applications.

Tesvolt supplies NCA battery storage systems for 65 MWh German project
German battery maker Tesvolt has reported its largest order to date, which will see its systems based on nickel-cobalt-aluminium (NCA) chemistry deployed in a 30 MW/ 65 MWh energy storage park in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
