Sodium nickel chloride battery factory proposed for New Mexico
North America’s Desert Mountain Energy Corporation has signed a non-binding letter of intent to form a joint venture to build and operate a sodium-nickel-chloride (SNC) battery manufacturing plant in Roswell, New Mexico. As per the proposal, the facility would use produced water from oil and gas wells as part of a cooling and processing system intended to support battery production as well as a data center complex.
