Amarenco doubles capacity of French BESS site through repowering
With the repowering of its Claudia storage facility in Saucats, Amarenco is upgrading its battery energy storage system (BESS) from one to two hours of storage capacity, aligning the asset with evolving European standards. Supported by a €65 million refinancing package and a long-term tolling agreement with Engie, the grid-forming project will combine NMC and LFP battery technologies and deliver a broad range of essential grid services.
