Brazil opens public consultation on 2026 capacity auction for battery storage Brazil’s Ministry of Mines and Energy has opened a public consultation for its 2026 storage capacity auction, which will contract systems of at least 30 MW for four-hour daily discharge and ten-year terms. The move targets large-scale battery projects, with 18 GW awaiting registration, and aims to define storage’s role in Brazil’s power market.
