Brazil’s LRCAP battery auction demand estimated at nearly 3 GW Following the contracting of 19 GW in the first LRCAP auction held this Friday (March 20), an additional 501 MW from existing thermal power plants was secured. In total, consultancy Thymos Energia had identified a need for 23 GW across the auctions, leaving an estimated remaining demand of around 3 GW for the battery auction.
