Battery storage costs up 27% since 2020, says Lazard The levelized cost of storage (LCOS) for a 100 MW, four-hour battery energy storage system (BESS) has risen to approximately $210/MWh to $292/MWh, according to a new Lazard report, which also found that storage costs overall have increased by roughly 27% since 2020.
