JinkoSolar delivers 123MWh of SunTera BESS to Yitong New Energy
JinkoSolar has announced it has delivered 123MWh of its SunTera liquid cooling energy storage systems to Yitong New Energy for a solar-plus-storage project in Zhengye City, Gansu province. The prefabricated cabin systems will be integrated as a retro-fit into an existing solar park, supplying peak shaving and valley filling services.
The liquid cooling system controls the between-cell temperature difference to within 2 degrees Celsius, resulting in improved battery consistency and balancing capabilities among battery clusters, slowing cycle life degradation and reducing safety risks.
In addition to 8,000-10,000 cycles and industry-leading system charging and discharging efficiency RTE 94% and above, the most important feature of JinkoSolar’s SunTera preferred by customers is its high level of safety which passed the stringent safety grading assessment. Five layers of safety protection including fire earlier detection and warning, pressure relief, aerosol plus water fire suppression, explosion-proof devices installed in each cabinet, all these ensure the system is thoroughly protected. Pack-level safety is highly touted by JinkoSolar.
JinkoSolar state that performance and safety are two reasons that JinkoSolar’s Suntera is preferred by utility markets.
