Metlen Energy & Metals, known as Mytilineos until last year’s rebrand, has announced the signing of three solar and energy storage EPC contracts in Chile.

The more than 2.5 GWh of BESS and 190.5 MWp of solar generation capacity covered by the contracts is due online before April 2026.

Metlen is also investing in its own, 1,607 MWh Mesembria BESS, scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of the year, further reinforcing its commitment to energy innovation and sustainability in Chile.

In December, Metlen inaugurated two solar plants in Chile with a total generation capacity of 394 MW. Those sites, together with the 109.2 MW Willka solar park, inaugurated in December 2023 in the Arica and Parinacota region; and the 86 MW Doña Antonia park, operating since August in Coquimbo, added up to a 589.2 MW Chilean solar portfolio.
