- Conversion Efficiency Reaching 89.94% — Setting a New Benchmark for Energy Storage Systems
Our station’s 110 kV system has accumulated 211,434MWh of total charge volumes and 190,168MWh of total discharge volumes, achieving an overall system conversion efficiency of 89.94%, highlighting exceptional efficiency in the energy conversion process.
- 99.9% Availability — A Proven Model of Stable Operations
Leveraging JDEnergy’s 3S integrated design and BCS storage control system, the project implements comprehensive AC/DC matrix protection, ensuring long-term safe and stable operation. Its modular design greatly improves maintenance efficiency and spare parts replacement, enabling a 2-hour rapid response, effectively sustaining a high availability rate of 99.9%.
- SOH Retention Rate Remaining 98% — Breakthroughs in BMS and Thermal Management
After 21 months of operation, the station’s energy storage battery State of Health (SOH) has remained as high as 98%, demonstrating excellent capacity retention. The project utilizes high quality and stability CATL battery cells combined with JDEnergy’s BMS, precise full-time balancing strategies, cluster-level independent control topology and efficient thermal management, ensuring the cells operate in an optimal environment, significantly slowing system degradation.
With its 89.94% system efficiency and 99.9% availability, the Huayan No.1 Energy Storage Station demonstrates outstanding operational performance. Across all major performance indicators, it stands as a leading project in both efficiency and reliability among energy storage stations commissioned in Ningxia during the same period.
In conclusion, as the world’s largest grid-side distributed energy storage station, its core operation lies in translating technical details into per-kWh returns, where every aspect reflects the wisdom of “maximizing every kilowatt-hour.” At the same time, it dares to break the limits of single-metric optimization: enhancing DOD while leveraging integrated control and protection to prevent over-discharge damage and pursuing high efficiency while using dynamic thermal management to balance degradation risks.
To date, JDEnergy has delivered over 1,000 sites across China, with the Huayan No.1 Energy Storage Power Station standing as a benchmark for the large-scale application of energy storage technology. JDEnergy will continue to advance energy storage technology toward higher efficiency, longer lifespan and greater returns, empowering the development of a new power system and contributing to the achievement of the “dual-carbon”goals.
