Sunwoda’s one-millionth 684 Ah energy storage cell rolled off the line, delivered
On 23 December, Sunwoda achieved a major manufacturing and delivery milestone as its one-millionth 684 Ah stacked energy storage cell rolled off the production line and was successfully delivered, marking a significant step forward in the large-scale commercialization of high-capacity energy storage cells.
Since the 684 Ah stacked cell entered mass production in September, Sunwoda has reached a production volume of one million units within just three months. This achievement indicates that large-capacity stacked energy storage cells have entered a stable and mature phase of scalable manufacturing.
The latest 684 Ah cell adopts advanced flash stacking battery technology, achieving an energy density of over 440 Wh/L. Since its launch, the product has demonstrated Sunwoda’s technical strength in large-capacity energy storage cells, supporting industry progress toward higher safety, greater efficiency, and enhanced lifecycle value at the system level.
The successful delivery of the one-millionth 684 Ah cell further reinforces Sunwoda’s position in energy storage cells and provides a solid foundation for long-term, large-scale deployment across global markets. Through early strategic investment in stacked-cell manufacturing processes, Sunwoda has established an end-to-end manufacturing system—from product design and process validation to large-scale production—ensuring consistently high uniformity, reliability, and efficiency. These capabilities provide a solid foundation for the dependable supply of next-generation energy storage cells.
Guided by its commitment to “crafting every battery with care“, Sunwoda will continue to advance energy storage cell research and development, and manufacturing excellence as well. By deepening innovation and scaling delivery capabilities, Sunwoda will work closely with industry partners to support the high-quality, sustainable development of the global energy transition.
