Anker Solix launches modular home energy storage system with 4.8 kW AC output

Anker Solix has introduced the Solarbank Multisystem, a scalable home energy storage solution that allows up to four battery units to operate in parallel through a central Power Dock control unit. The system delivers maximum AC output of 4.8kW to the household grid and can handle up to 14.4kW of DC solar input.

The Power Dock, a new feature for Anker Solix, serves as the central control unit, featuring four connections with maximum 3.6 kW input each for solar banks, plus dedicated connections for EV charging. The system achieves maximum storage capacity of 64 kWh when fully equipped with expansion batteries.

Another feature here is that home owners don’t have to buy all the components at once, as they may start with a standalone Solarbank system and purchase additional storage later, depending on budgets or seeing how storage performs under a given PV input.

With the system only available in Germany for now, installation requires certified electricians for the Power Dock setup and system registration, though users can install additional storage modules and solar panels themselves using plug-in connections. Anker offers professional installation services, charging €999 for AC installation including registration, and €999 for mounting eight solar modules. An additional registration plus expansion of the system costs €300.

According to the manufacturer, households can achieve self-consumption rates up to 80 percent with payback periods as short as four years under favorable conditions. The system uses a single DC-AC conversion from solar generation to household consumption, which Anker claims reduces efficiency losses.

The system integrates with Anker’s V1 Smart EV Charger or wallbox, supporting both 7.4 kW single-phase and 11 kW three-phase charging. AI-powered smart charging optimizes schedules based on weather data and usage patterns to maximize solar utilization and cost savings. Third-party charging stations can also connect via CEE plugs.

Pre-orders begin immediately with the Power Dock priced at €399. From August 12 to September 1, 2025, registered customers receive 25 percent discounts on selected products. Complete bundles start at €1,898 with one Solarbank 3 Pro, rising to €3,397 for two units.

The modular approach allows customers to start with single units and expand based on budget and demand, contrasting with traditional home storage systems requiring large upfront investments.

A company representative told ESS News that Anker Solix is planning to launch this solution in other EU countries beyond Germany, though further details were not yet available.
