The big battery in the state of Victoria is co-owned by the State Electricity Commission (SEC) and Singapore-based renewable energy investor Equis Australia. Natron says its batteries outperform lithium-ion batteries in power density and recharging speed, do not require lithium, cobalt, copper, or nickel, and are non-flammable.
