Romania: $150 million for storage in municipalities, funding for 500 MWh battery project
Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan has unveiled a new €150 million energy storage program, expected to deliver 385 MW of battery storage projects across Romanian municipalities. Meanwhile, one of the country’s largest standalone battery storage projects has secured financing.

Enlight secures financing for 1.2 GWh of collocated battery storage in New Mexico
Israeli independent power producer Enlight has closed financing for the energy storage part of its planned Atrisco solar and storage project, to be located outside Albuquerque, New Mexico. Atrisco combines 1.2 GWh of battery storage with 364 MW of solar generation capacity.

Poland: Tender for construction of 263 MW battery storage system, aqusition of 133 MW battery project
Polish utility PGE Group has launched a tender for the design and construction of a battery storage facility with a minimum capacity of at least 900 MWh. Meanwhile, Ukraine's DTEK has completed the acqusition of a 532 MWh battery storage project in southern Poland.
