Epic Energy, REFNIC partner for lithium-ion battery recycling and second-life facility in India
Epic Energy has selected REFNIC as the technical partner for setting up a lithium-ion battery shredding facility with an installed capacity of 500 kilograms per hour of black-mass production, and a second-life battery assembly plant with an installed processing capacity of approximately 10 MWh per month.

Swiss second-life battery startup Libattion secures EUR 14 million funding
Libattion, which turns discarded European electric vehicle (EV) batteries into energy storage systems, is planning a big push for growth. The managing director of A&G Energy Transition Tech Fund, the main backer, said the startup provides an economic alternative to the growing problem of waste from EV batteries while offering an “optimal supply alternative for stationary energy storage.”

JLR, Allye Energy partner on 270 kWh portable battery energy storage system
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and Allye Energy have agreed to collaborate on a 270 kWh portable battery energy storage system (BESS) built with second-life Range Rover batteries. The system, which is set to become the first commercially available BESS with JLR battery packs, can fully charge up to nine Range Rover PHEV vehicles at once.
