Pure, an Indian e-mobility startup out of Indian Institutes of Technology Hyderabad, is preparing to launch a range of PurePower energy storage products.

Pure said the range, to be unveiled on March 25, will have consumer, community, and national energy applications.

Nishanth Dongari, founder and managing director of Pure, said the energy storage range features advanced battery technology, artificial intelligence-based power electronics, and a highly efficient electric power system with renewable energy control.

Rohit Vadera, co-founder and CEO of Pure, referred to the phenomenon of peak solar generation occurring at times of low grid power demand when he said, “While India’s ambitious renewable energy targets are commendable, the ‘duck curve’ effect presents a significant challenge to grid stability. Recognizing this, the government has astutely prioritized energy storage at all levels: grid scale, commercial, and solar-rooftop. PurePower strategically aligns with this mission by providing intelligent energy storage products that effectively store renewable energy, mitigate [electricity supply] fluctuations, ensure seamless integration of renewables [into the grid], and bolster grid resilience, thereby contributing to the realization of India’s net-zero goals.”
