Portable-battery company Anker Solix has announced the launch of its latest power station, the Anker Solix F3000.

The product offers 3 kWh (3,072 Wh to be precise) with a 3.6 kW output, able to handle most appliances in a home and devices in the field.

The F3000 can be charged in a variety of ways. While solar and grid charging from alternating-current electricity is standard, new features in the Anker Solix device include charging from an electric vehicle (EV) charger, and a gas generator with full pass-through, to simultaneously power most household devices.

The basic tenet is ensuring steady supply during grid power disruption, with the F3000 achieving a full charge in around 80 minutes.

The F3000 also offers a sleep mode that, according to Anker, reduces idle energy. That mode doubles backup duration compared to conventional portable power stations and, when powering low demand devices such as fans or computers, can reduce idle energy drain to 24.4 W.

In terms of being solar-ready, the F3000 features dual inputs (of 165 V and 60 V), capable of achieving 2.4 kW solar recharging that is compatible with most solar panels. The F3000 is built around a 3.1 kWh lithium iron-phosphate (LFP) battery and inverter, and Anker promises a service life of 3,000 charging cycles, or 10 years.

For homes with high-energy demands, the F3000’s scalable system supports up to three additional external battery packs, expanding capacity to 12,288 Wh.

Anker claims a single unit provides half a day of backup power, for essentials, with an expanded setup extending coverage to four days.

Anker Solix currently boasts the Solix F2000 (formerly known as the Power House 767) and the Solix F3800. The new F3000 fits right between the pair, offering consumers additional choice. Weight is always an issue with batteries and Anker offers a suitcase-style design with two large wheels and an extendable handle, to transport the weight of 41.5 kg, or just over 91 pounds.
