Nyerges & Partners Advises Windin’ Capital Fund on its Investment in a Hybrid Photovoltaic and Storage Project in Romania

Nyerges & Partners has advised Windin’ Capital Fund on the acquisition of a 50% stake in a hybrid renewable energy project located in Sebeș, Alba County, comprising a 67 MW photovoltaic plant and a 180 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). When completed, this investment will represent for Windin’ Capital Fund a strategic foothold on the local energy market.

Windin’ Capital Fund will acquire a 50% shareholding in the vehicle developing the Project, through a combination of purchase of shares and injection of Mezzanine and equity capital.

Nyerges & Partners provided full-fledge legal support across all key phases of the project. The project team was coordinated by Horia Ispas (Partner) and Mihaela Spiridon (Counsel), and included Mihaela Nyerges (Managing Partner) overseeing energy matters, Larisa-Alexandra Nicolae (Managing Associate) handling corporate and FDI matters, Adina Tănăsoiu (Senior Associate), Carmen Drăgușin (Associate) and Emilia-Roberta Roca (Junior Associate) covering real estate matters.
