Anker Solix launches new E10 whole home backup system in US, offers ‘one-stop’ service to bypass installers
Anker Solix is taking a brand new approach to home battery storage in the US with the launch of its E10 range, switching from an installer-only or installer-partnership model, as most companies, including Tesla, opt for, and moving to a direct model, and what its press release stated is a “hassle-free, one-stop installation service”.
The E10 is dubbed a “smart hybrid” product as it can handle charging from solar, the grid, or from a generator, with the last one coming with a unique twist. Anker is also offering a smart gas generator, which provides DC charging for the E10 batteries, which essentially offers a wider mode of operation, adds a significant safety margin, and offers more efficient operation when using fossil fuels. The generator can handle gas, propane (LPG,) and natural gas as fuels.
Anker is calling this “infinite backup power” due to the multi-fuel range extension, and when considering typical US outages, durations, and conditions, can handle 99% of outage scenarios.

E10 hardware
The E10 itself is a modular design that scales up to three inverters and batteries all the way to 90 kWh, and Anker has a two-module system as the basic option. The E10 Base System is one inverter and one battery, which can supply 7.6 kW of AC power in standard operation, plus a higher 10 kW turbo output mode for a full 90 minutes. On the input side, max AC charging is 7.68 kW, while solar and handle up to 9 kW, along with 4.5 kW from the DC input. A single B6000 battery holds 6144 Wh, and handles 6 kW input. Up to three E10 units, each with five batteries, can be combined for 90 kWh of storage, or a full 15 days of backup.
More batteries can be added through a no-cable, modular design, as the following photo shows:

For providing surge power or LRA to start heavy devices like a central AC up to 5 tons, the company quotes 37.2 kW / 155 LRA, and a dual set provides 66 kW / 275 LRA.
The home storage system is certified to UL 9540 and 9540A for home energy safety, with certificates shown from SGS. NEMA 4 (IP66) protection offers water and dust ingress protection for outdoor use.
In order to automatically handle whole home circuitry and solar input from DC and AC sources, Anker Solix is launched a Power Dock rated at 200 A. When the E10 is paired, it can power the home with a 20ms seamless switchover, able to protect appliances. The Power Dock is compatible with all types of PV.
For manual-only switching during outages and presented as a cheaper alternative, a Smart Inlet Box is being offered.
The new tri-fuel gas generator is the Anker Solix Smart Generator 5500, with up to 4.5 kW DC and 3.6 kW AC output. For now, Anker notes the product is not currently for sale or distribution within California.
Bold new direct-to-consumer model
At CES 2026, Anker Solix representatives told ESS News the move was well-planned, and both the product and the rollout had learned from the X1 system launched in 2024.
David Taylor, a solutions expert for Anker Solix, noted that the advantage of the traditional route is logistics, but that the company has expanded its warehouse network to California, Texas, Chicago, Florida, and the Northeast.
Taylor said the company will offer two options.
“We’ll have our own electrician network, and a customer can buy the product on our website and then will see two options. First is finding your own electrician or doing it yourself, whatever you want to do. Or, if you need help we have an electrician, as we’ll have electricians and solar installers that we’ve partnered with. We’ll have an upfront fee, so you’re not going to be upsold by whoever comes to your house and gives you a quote.
“We’re looking at about five days from purchase to install. It will vary from location to location for permitting and approvals, depending on where a customer lives, but that’s the aim,” said Taylor.
“A customer can do the E10 by itself, or E10 and a solar installation, or the E10 plus solar and generator.”

Anker said all E10 systems include a 5-year standard warranty; pre-orders receive an additional 3-year extension.
Further expansion
While the E10 launched only in the continental US, Anker reps indicated that there is strong interest in other regions, and a likely expansion to Canada was indicated, though not confirmed.
Other regions where battery storage is seeing strong take-up, like in parts of Europe and Australia, were not given a clear launch window.
Endorsed by Troy Aikman
Anker Solix also announced NFL Hall of Famer Troy Aikman has joined the company as a brand ambassador. Aikman, a 12-season pro quarterback and three-time Super Bowl winner for the Dallas Cowboys, is also on TV as an ESPN analyst on Monday Night Football.
