The Solar Energy Corp. of India (SECI) has concluded its tender for the development of 1.2 GW of renewable energy projects coupled with energy storage systems (ESS), designed to provide 4.8 GWh of assured peak power supply daily (1,200 MW for four hours). The lowest discovered tariff under the auction was INR 6.27/kWh.

Adyant Enersol, an arm of Datta Infra, won 100 MW at INR 6.27/kWh. Serentica Renewables secured 600 MW and AMPIN Energy 199 MW, both at INR 6.28/kWh, with ACME Solar allocated the remaining capacity.

The projects will be developed on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis. SECI will sign 25-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the successful bidders and will act as an intermediary between the project developers and the buying entities.

Under the tender conditions, selected developers will establish interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected renewable energy projects integrated with energy storage systems. All generation and storage components must be co-located for each individual project.

The scope of work for developers includes land acquisition, installation, ownership, and obtaining all necessary grid connectivity and regulatory approvals. Projects may be located anywhere in India.
