REPT Battero has announced a major commercial breakthrough at The KEY – The Energy Expo in Italy, securing a total of 8.3 GWh of energy storage system orders from seven European partners. Under the agreements, the company will supply its solutions over a two-year period, reinforcing its expanding footprint in the European energy storage market.

The Chinese manufacturer will deliver its Powtrix utility-scale battery storage solution. The currently commercialized version of the 20-foot container system incorporates 392 Ah lithium-ion cells, delivering 6.26 MWh of storage capacity. The system is designed for 20–25+ years of operation with 12,000 of cycles and offers a maximum round-trip efficiency exceeding 95%.

REPT Battero has also presented 564 Ah Wending-series cells, optimized for long-duration storage of more than four hours, which are expected to be integrated into the next-generation Powtrix solution. The larger cells are intended to reduce overall system costs and increase container-level energy density. The company’s latest press release, however, did not specify which version of the product will be supplied under the newly announced agreements.

REPT Battero has already established a delivery track record across key international markets. In Europe, the company has supplied projects in Germany, Belgium, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova and Latvia, among others.

Globally, the company ranked among the top three suppliers in the small-scale energy storage segment and was the world’s fourth-largest battery cell manufacturer by shipments in 2025, according to data from InfoLink Consulting.

Consequently, REPT Battero has been performing strongly financially. The company said on Feb. 2 that it expects to swing to its first annual profit since inception, projecting a net profit of CNY 630 million to CNY 730 million for 2025, compared with a net loss of about CNY 1.35 billion a year earlier. The company attributed the turnaround primarily to rising shipments of power and energy storage batteries and improved operating efficiency.

In its interim report, REPT Battero reported first-half 2025 revenue of CNY 9.49 billion and a narrowed net loss of CNY 63 million, alongside 32.4 GWh of battery shipments.
