Envision Energy and UK-based developer Elements Green have signed a supply agreement for the Stadorf battery energy storage project in Lower Saxony, Germany. The companies announced the partnership at The smarter E Europe trade fair in Munich last week.

Envision Energy said the Stadorf project, one of the largest battery energy storage projects currently under development in Germany, marks a strategic milestone for deployment of its Future Energy System in the country and supports its expansion in the German energy storage market. The company added that Elements Green also has a growing pipeline of projects across Europe.

Envision’s integrated Future Energy System is based on its Gen-8 battery energy storage system (BESS) platform. Henry Peng, senior vice president at Envision Energy and president for the European Union and Latin America regions, said the partnership combines Elements Green’s local presence with Envision’s technology and project experience to address the technical, regulatory, and grid integration challenges associated with large-scale battery storage projects in Germany.

Elements Green announced in late 2025 that it planned to develop 3.2 GW of battery storage capacity in Germany by 2027. The company said eight projects are expected to reach ready-to-build status this year and enter operation in 2027, including the four-hour Stadorf project. The UK-based solar and storage developer plans to invest €2 billion in Germany by the end of 2028.
