Trinasolar ISBU Acquires 49.9MW/99.8MWh Chatterley Energy Storage Project from Abbey Group

This project, located in the Midlands, is designed to provide critical flexibility and support to the UK electricity grid through a two-hour battery storage solution. Its construction is scheduled to commence in July 2025, with the asset expected to participate in key balancing and ancillary services markets as well as provide critical capacity support to the regional grid network.

The Chatterley Energy Storage project marks a significant step in Trinasolar ISBU growing energy storage portfolio in the UK and aligns with its broader commitment to accelerating the transition to a low-carbon energy system.
