Rept Battero moves toward localized BESS production in Indonesia
Rept Battero is pushing into localized energy storage production in Indonesia, with TKDN (Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri) Local Content Certification and SNI (Standar Nasional Indonesia) Indonesian National Standard Certification both expected in June 2026, the company confirmed at the Indonesia International Coal and Energy Industry Expo in Jakarta last week.
The company described its facilities as its “Indonesia manufacturing base” and rolled out customized solutions for local power and energy storage needs across three core scenarios. Exact details weren’t provided as to production volumes or facility capacity at this stage.
On the energy storage front, the Indonesian version of a containerized solution dubbed Powtrix is a liquid-cooled system rated at 5.01 MWh, expandable to 6.26 MWh, aimed at industrial parks and mine diesel replacement. Remote resource extraction sites remain heavily diesel-dependent.

In various signing ceremonies, the company said it inked a memorandum of understanding with Xiamen C&D Inc. to co-establish a local financial leasing firm and launch Indonesia’s first Battery Bank platform, covering battery leasing, after-sales service and new energy logistics network construction. Deals also followed with EV makers in passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
Separately, Rept Battero previously announced 8.3 GWh of utility-scale BESS orders from seven European partners. The current-generation Powtrix uses 392 Ah cells, delivers 6.26 MWh per 20-foot container, is rated for 12,000-plus cycles and 20–25 years of operation, and carries a round-trip efficiency above 95%.
The company has also shown 564 Ah Wendding-series cells targeting long-duration applications above four hours, intended for a next-generation Powtrix. Which cell generation applies to the various agreements has not been specified.
