Zendure launches new SolarFlow storage systems for Europe: SolarFlow 2400 Pro, 2400 AC+ and 1600 AC+

Zendure has a new investor, new factory in China, and with a new product launch for the residential sector, is aiming to reclaim the crown of the top supplier for plug-in and balcony solar systems and storage.

Zendure has established itself as a pioneer in the plug-in balcony solar market, a segment that has seen explosive growth in Germany, gained traction across Europe, and is back with a major new launch designed to reclaim its position.

Zendure, by its own admission, held the early lead in the balcony or “balkonkraftwerk” sector as it is known in Germany, and competitors were able to join it and create a large sector. However, at the start of 2026, Zendure is back, focusing on Germany, France, the Netherlands, and the wider Benelux region with new products, new ideas, a fresh injection of capital into the company, and recently allowed visiting media to tour its new battery factory in Shenzhen in China.

The company held an annual gala on Feb 3, where it launched two new series of products in three models: the SolarFlow 2400 Pro, a new update on its standard plug-in balcony solar offering, and new AC-only products in the SolarFlow 2400 AC+ and SolarFlow 1600 AC+, which are designed for retrofitting to existing solar homes, or even to act as stand-alone AC-only storage for home storage.

With Zendure reaching sufficient size to offer a new dynamic tariff product offering as well, called ZenWave, Zendure is also offering the optionality that creates with dynamic tariffs and, effectively, even small-scale energy trading if a user has a sufficiently large-size storage system.

The physical products also came with software announcements: Zendure announced HEMS 2.0 and Zenki 2.0, updating both its Home Energy Management system with a range of improvements. Zenki 2.0 is what Zendure calls its advanced AI engine that handles intelligent dispatch of energy, which can balance solar, battery, and grid-power usage.

A big new launch is Zendure evolving to be an energy provider as well: the company has launched a dynamic electricity retail service called ZenWave, a new service starting in Germany that will provide grid-connected consumers with dynamic pricing, assuming they have a smart meter. In its presentation, Zendure said it would provide a launch package of benefits to those taking the plunge, with new customers having an annual fee waived, a discount on energy costs, and free installation of a smart meter.

Zendure showed charts and data showing that a household in Leipzig with an annual consumption of 5,000 kWh may save €620 per year with ZenWave compared to a fixed rate electricity plan, while Zendure also claimed larger households may reach €2,121 of annual savings.

Products: Zendure SolarFlow 2400 Pro, SolarFlow 2400 AC+, and SolarFlow 1600 AC+

Zendure’s new SolarFlow 2400 Pro represents a high-capacity and high-power balcony storage system for PV, with a capacity starting at 2.4 kWh and expandable up to 14.4 kWh by default and 16.8 kWh in some configurations.

It can handle 2400 W bi-directional AC, with 4 MPPTs to support 3 kW of DC solar input, and total PV input of up to 4800 W when combining DC+AC coupling. It delivers 800 W by default to meet standard German and European plug-in balcony regulations, while professional installation can unlock a supply of 2400 W with a max of 3200 W.

The new SolarFlow 2400 Pro effectively replaces the Zendure SolarFlow Hyper 2000, with more capacity, performance, and options, including the higher-output beyond 800 W.

The SolarFlow 2400 AC+ is an evolution of a previous Zendure product, the non-plus version known as the SolarFlow 2400 AC. There is also a SolarFlow 1600 AC+, a more entry-level model of the same system as the 2400 AC+.

The AC+ edition, in both cases, has no DC solar input: this means that you do not connect the solar panels directly to the SolarFlow, but rather use the excess PV power from an existing solar system to charge the batteries.

This largely serves as a way to retrofit storage to a PV system and create new opportunities, without needing to refactor a home’s solar and inverter setup and wiring.

Pricing and availability

The new SolarFlow models are now available for pre-order in Germany, France, and the Netherlands, with SolarFlow 2400 Pro starting at €999, SolarFlow 2400 AC+ starting at €799 and SolarFlow 1600 AC+ starting at €599. It is available through distributors, direct from Zendure, or Amazon.

Each region has a slightly different, tailored product offering, and final pricing depends on local VAT rates.

Zendure’s new investor, factory, and media tour

ESS News was in attendance at the company’s launch event in Shenzhen, hosted by CEO Bryan Liu. A tour of Zendure’s modern workplace in a Shenzhen high-rise building was also part of the experience, while a larger tour also took place of Zendure’s newest and largest production factories for battery and inverter technology.

Liu announced the line-up and updates to the product range, while also revealing a significant new investment by Chinese major Han’s Lasers and Han’s Digital Controls, part of the multibillion-dollar Han’s Laser Technology Group in China.

Han’s Lasers took a 30% stake in Zendure, with the deal coming together within months in 2025, according to Liu. ESS News will detail this relationship further in a future post.

A tour of Zendure’s state-of-the-art production line occurred, though photography and video were strictly prohibited. The facility spanned 10,000 square meters and allowed for both production and testing of both battery cells and inverters. The facility was given a ceremonial opening with media and partners assisting:

The product being manufactured at the new factory was the brand-new Solarflow 2400 Pro on this production line, and media in attendance saw the full process, from assembling the inverter and testing to how the cylindrical battery cells are combined, connected, assembled, and fully tested. Zendure said it has a production capacity of up to one million units per year, which will overcome some previous supply problems that the company mentioned.

Liu told ESS News that the company’s goal is to reduce its RMA rate, the percentage of shipped products returned by customers due to issues or defects, to 0.3%.

“That’s the lowest in the industry and that’s our goal,” said Liu.
