Reden enters the Italian storage market with up to 2 GWh of projects
Pierluigi Vecchia, head of project development at Reden Solar Italy, told pv magazine Italia that the French company has initiated the development of large-scale standalone BESS projects, with commissioning planned for 2028–2029, further strengthening its integrated photovoltaic and energy storage strategy.

Australian state of Victoria eyes 8.5 GW of energy storage by 2035
The Victorian government’s ‘Cheaper, Cleaner, Renewable: Our Plan for Victoria’s Electricity Future’ roadmap sets out a plan for delivering the state’s future energy systems needed to reach its 95% renewable generation target by 2035 and net zero target by 2045. Battery storage for Germany’s energy transition: Unlocking untapped potential
Germany's energy transition is making significant progress: In the first half of 2024, the share of renewable energy in the electricity mix rose to 57 %. This new influx of renewable energy is pushing the power grid to its limits. Battery energy storage systems and an optimized redispatch procedure could play a key role in improving the integration of renewables and alleviating grid congestion. However, some hurdles still need to be overcome, according to Benedikt Deuchert of Kyon Energy.
