Texan utility launches request for proposal for 500 MW of battery storage
CPS Energy, which acts as sole provider of electricity in San Antonio, Texas, plans to have 1,000 MW of operational or contracted storage capacity following the completion of its latest request for proposal for an additional 500 MW of additional storage capacity.

Grid scale BESS and co-located battery projects offered utility connections in Western Australia
Australia's far west grid operator Western Power has closed off 759 MW of connection offers for FY2024/25, announcing the last two projects for the period, and in the coming financial year expects to offers made for a further 300 MW of battery energy storage systems (BESS) and 112 MW solar generation.
