It has been possible to purchase PV installations from Swedish furniture group Ikea since 2019, when it launched its offer under the name “Solstrale.”

These were photovoltaic rooftop facilities that, since 2020, were to be installed in the homes of customers in collaboration with Svea Solar. Now, Ikea will offer plug-in solar packages in Germany, and it will collaborate with Ecoflow for components. The mini photovoltaic power plant for balconies, gardens or garages can be ordered online as a complete system.

The full STREAM S package is available from €449, including VAT. It contains two 450-watt solar modules with cables, an 800-watt microinverter and a mounting kit. If final customers also want to invest in a battery, they can opt for the full STREAM M package. This also includes two 450-watt modules, with the option of 520-watt modules, and a Stream Pro battery with a capacity of 1.92 kWh. The price starts at €1,229. For €60 more, a version with a STREAM Ultra battery, which also has a capacity of 1.92 kWh can be purchased.

The fourth offer from the Swedish company is the STREAM Complete Set L. It contains four solar modules with a power of between 250 and 520 watts, adequate supports for assembly and STREAM Ultra battery with a capacity of 1.92 kWh. If this offer is installed with four solar modules of 520-watts and the corresponding assembly system, the price, including VAT, is €1,945.

The largest version is the full STREAM XL package. In addition to the four modules and the STREAM Ultra battery, it also includes the STREAM AC Pro battery. The price of this package starts at €2,230. With 520-watt modules and adjustable supports, the price amounts to €2,761 euros. Ikea also offers Ecoflow battery systems separately. Prices range from €799 to €1,049 euros, including VAT.

With this new offering, Ikea is not only targeting end customers, but also its business customers on the Ikea Business Network. Like the Ikea Family card holders, they get a 15% discount on photovoltaic deals.

In May this year, Ikea began selling air-water heat pumps in Germany.
