Indian state launches 500 MWh battery storage tender
The Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd (KSEBL) has launched a major battery energy storage initiative with a tender for 500 MWh (250 MW x 2 hours) of standalone BESS capacity. The tender is being managed by NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd (NVVN), which has been appointed as KSEBL’s authorised representative. The storage systems will be developed for on-demand usage.
