Turbo Energy launches residential storage solution

Spain’s storage manufacturer Turbo Energy has announced a new all-in-one solar energy storage solution for residential houses.
Dubbed Sunbox Home Lite, the new product uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries and has capacities ranging from 2.4 kWh to 9.6 kWh.
The system measures 630 mm x 1,290 mm x 340 mm and weighs 90 kg. It can take a PV input of up to 6.5 kW, and convert it to up to 11.5 kW of AC output on-grid, and 5 kW off-grid. It has two maximum power point trackers (MPPTs), with a working voltage range of 125-425V per MPPT.
The new product also features a nominal voltage of 48 V, a maximum input current of 13 A, and a maximum short-circuit current of 17 A. It is IP20-rated and has reportedly a lifecycle of more than 6,000 cycles. The depth of discharge is approximately 90%.
“This cutting edge innovation is supported by Turbo Energy’s state-of-the-art cloud-based SaaS solution, which leverages Artificial Intelligence to provide intelligent data collection, optimized stored energy management and predictive analytics which provide real-time insight into weather and electricity price forecasts, solar panel performance, energy consumption and material cost savings opportunities,” the company said in a statement.
The company said it already shipped 100 Sunbox batteries to Solar360, which is a joint venture of Spanish energy company Repsol and Spain-based telecommunication giant Telefónica España.
