China headqartered storage manufacturer AlphaESS has released two new all-in-one energy storage systems for the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector. Named the STORION-H30-G3 and the STORION-H50-G3, the systems integrate a power conversion system (PCS), an energy management system (EMS), a battery management system (BMS), and batteries.

“Designed to meet the evolving needs of the C&I market, the system combines true all-in-one integration, intelligent battery protection, large capacity, flexible scalability, and smart operation and maintenance (O&M), offering customers enhanced safety, higher efficiency, and faster financial returns,” the company said in a statement.

On the PV side, the STORION-H30-G3 model can accept a 60 kW DC input and yield an AC output of 30 kW. The STORION-H50-G3, on the other hand, can take DC input of 75 kW and provide an AC output of 50 kW. Both models have four maximum power point trackers (MPPTs), with two strings per MPPT. They both have a maximum efficiency of 97.8%, a European efficiency of 97.2%, and a round-trip efficiency of 92%.

On the storage side, all models utilize lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4) battery modules with a nominal capacity of 24.1 kWh. The battery rack of the STORION-H30-G3 configuration consists of three modules, providing a total storage capacity of 72.3 kWh. The STORION-H50-G3’s battery rack has five modules, resulting in a total capacity of 120.5 kWh. An extension battery rack can be bought additionally, to double the capacity of the products to 144.6 kWh and 241 kWh, respectively.

“The STORION-H30/H50-G3 supports up to 10 parallel units for 500kW/2.4MWh grid-connected projects and four parallel units for 200kW/964kWh off-grid applications,” the company added. “With a footprint of less than 1.5m², the system achieves high energy density while fitting seamlessly into diverse applications such as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), commercial complexes, farms, restaurants, and studios.”

Both energy storage systems have a width of 1.12 meters, depth of 1.3 meters, height of 2.05 meters, and a weight of 1,700 kg, with the extension battery rack having similar dimensions. They are rated IP55 for ingress protection and can operate in temperatures ranging from -30 C to 50 C, with a humidity level of up to 90%, and a maximum altitude of 3,000 meters. In addition to the extended battery cabinet, AlphaESS offers a meter and a parallel backup box as optional upgrades.

“The H30/H50-G3 is designed with triple fire protection: smoke and temperature detection, audible/visual alarms, and internal aerosol suppression. Its cabinet offers a 1.5-hour fire resistance rating and is certified to UL9540A, ensuring compliance with international safety standards for global C&I projects,” the company concluded. “Equipped with nano-insulation materials within the pack, the STORION-H30/H50-G3 provides advanced thermal protection. Its smart power distribution enables ms-level fault isolation, while the BMS supports cell-level fast shut-off and second-level electrical isolation. With three-level logic control (system, cluster, pack) and cell-level data monitoring, the system delivers comprehensive, precise protection
