Pace Digitek opens battery R&D center in India
Pace Digitek said that its Lineage Power unit has set up the Pace-Lineage Research Center in Pune, India, for research, engineering and product development in advanced battery technologies, including advanced chemistry cells (ACC) and energy storage solutions.
The facility, established in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, will conduct research and development on advanced battery technologies and materials to strengthen domestic energy storage capabilities.
The research program at the Pace-Lineage Research Center will focus on advanced chemistry cells, including lithium-ion (Li-ion) and sodium-ion (Na-ion) chemistries, as well as battery materials, to improve battery capacity and cycling stability. The research will include optimization of material coatings, tuning of material microstructure and porosity, design of new electrolytes, detailed material characterization, electrochemical evaluation, and optimization of cell parameters.
The research center will also evaluate and validate raw materials from domestic suppliers to support indigenous technology development and strengthen the local supply chain.
The new facility complements Pace Digitek’s manufacturing, engineering, and project execution capabilities by supporting research in advanced battery materials and technologies.
Pace Digitek is an Indian infrastructure and energy solutions company active in energy and telecom & ICT.
