Terna has republished the results of the Mercato a termine degli stoccaggi (MACSE) auction, for the 2028 delivery year, after a developer exercised its right to withdraw a project which had secured only partial approval.

An updated list of approved projects indicated the developer in question is the ACL SPV 2 Srl special purpose vehicle founded by ACL Energy and subsequently acquired by Enel. The project was a 32 MWh site in the auction’s South and Calabria region.

That means 14 projects have now been awarded by the MACSE auction, with a total capacity of 9,968 MWh.
